GX3903 series: 3-port RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 interface cPCI board
describeGX3903 is a 3-port cPCI asynchronous communication interface board that supports RS232 and RS422 levels. In addition, among the optional models, the board can support RS485 signaling. Each port is configured for timing during RS232, RS422, or RS485 signaling. The default configuration is RS232. For RS232 mode, each port supports RTS, CTS, TXD, RXD, DCD, DRC, DSR, and RI signaling. RS422 mode supports TXD, RXD, CTS, and RTS, and each line is differentially operated with a unidirectional driver. In RS485 mode, the card supports both 2-wire and 4-wire configurations. In 2-wire mode, a single differential RS-422 pair operates in half duplex mode. For the 4-wire mode, TXD is driven by an additional RS422 unidirectional output. Tx/Rx direction control can be performed through RTS control signals from the 16550 UART. |

characteristicDifferential RS422/RX485 ports are terminated in parallel with 150 ohms. You can specify a backup terminal when placing an order. The Micro D9 connector installed on the front panel provides connections to three ports. The support for each port is provided by 16550 UART, with a data rate of up to 115 K baud. The interrupt mapping INTA/INTB/INTC/INTD from the PCI bus to each UART is performed through the onboard switch, supporting shared and dedicated interrupt requests. |
